Our mission is to provide quality recreational programs, services, and facilities that maximize opportunities for life-long learning, personal development, and leadership through varied recreational endeavors. In support of this mission, FSU Campus Recreation operates or manages seven facilities that provide for unstructured recreational opportunities and are home to many of the structured programs of the department.
Leach Student Recreation CenterFSU's on-campus student recreational facility. Gymnasium, indoor track, pool, spas, racquetball and squash courts, group exercise classes, cardiovascular, strength, and free weight areas. FREE for FSU students. Memberships available to FSU faculty & staff and FSU alumni. Home to Fitness & Wellness and Aquatics programs.
Rec SportsPlex
Opened in the fall of 2007, the new Rec SportsPlex is a 108-acre facility on FSU's Southwest Campus that encompasses 21 sports fields and additional activity spaces. Among the 21 fields are 12 multipurpose fields for IM flag football and rec soccer, 4 tournament fields for sport club activities such as rugby and lacrosse, and 5 separate softball diamonds.
Main Campus Fields
The Main Campus Fields (formerly the Intramural Sports Complex), at the corner of St. Augustine Street and Woodward Avenue on the FSU Main Campus, comprise 13 acres and encompass 4 sports fields.
Westside Courts
Renovated in 2009, the Westside Courts behind Salley Hall and near Fresh Food Company on the westside of FSU's main campus features 2 outdoor tennis courts, 2 outdoor basketball courts, and a sand volleyball court along with a new pavilion space with restrooms and an equipment checkout service. The Westside Courts open for use by FSU students and staff on February 1, 2010.
FSU Reservation
Scale the climbing wall, spike a volleyball, swim, sun, or sail at the Rez, FSU's 73-acre lakefront property. Get away to the Rez! Home to the FSU Challenge and Outdoor Pursuits programs.
Speicher Tennis Center
Located just north of the Leach Center and Tully Gym along Chieftan Way, the Speicher Tennis Center contains 12 tennis hardcourts for educational, recreational, and varsity team use.
Tully Gymnasium
Adjacent to the Leach Center is Robert Henry Tully Gymnasium which has supported athletic and recreational endeavors for the University community for over 50 years. Formerly home to such varied activities as course registration and payment, student dance events, and FSU basketball, Tully Gym remains home to several educational, recreational, and athletic programs including Campus Recreation's Intramural Sports & Sport Club program offices and indoor activities, the Seminole varsity volleyball team, and the Sport Management academic department.
